Sooky Season!

Hey all it's the end of September and you know what that means? Spooky Season!

As we head into October so comes the month of inspiration, at least for me! I'm a sucker for the cold, the chilly wind, the crisp scent of leaves, and the sweater weather that just screams supernatural romance time!!!
So super excited here!
September and October are my November prep times for writing. When the juices are flowing, the inspiration is thick, and the writing bug pungent. So that's a big on my plate right now.
I used to follow NaNoWriMo way back in the day, and it honestly is the main reason for many of the works I have being finished. I'm a serial 20-40k word 2/3rds of the book through and fizzling out writer. NaNo often got me through that slump. While there has been a lot of talk about what the nonprofit did, experienced, and went through I can't say I've brushed up on too much of it. I was never seriously involved in the "community" part, save a few in person meet ups waaaay back in the twenty teens. I popped on only for the word counts and the graphs (which helped immensely), and the idea that November was a month to finish a novel. While the site is closed, the nonprofit shut down, and whatever drama went on still fresh I don't want what I enjoyed about this time of year to be sullied. I can still say that November will always be the one month of the year I know I'll get a book finished.
Nano was the motivation I needed.
Though it is gone, the spirit of what it was meant to embody before these recent years can live on in those that have good memories of what it helped us achieve. So cheers to anyone trying to finish a novel, and cheers to anyone whole like me wants to be absolutely bat shit and try and finish one in a single month. My goal for this year is somewhere around 85-90k... Wish me luck!
What's on the list?
Hollows book three is being delayed because, shock, it's part of a mega verse. While not all of the books in this mega verse will be interconnected (at least until the end 😉) The Nymue Hannok Novels and The Amelia Ipswich Novels do cross over in their third and second iterations respectively. And while I could power through and introduce our girl Ami and the men of Silverfort in Hollows, I feel this would be an injustice to our girl and her boys. Especially since my works tend to take on a life of their own and decide to say "fuck the plot." I'm looking at you Jasper, you sir were the one that fucked up four series worth of planning by falling in love on those pages when you were absolutely not supposed to.
So, this year we are working on the first of two Amelia novels, while next year I'm hoping to get to both Nymue's third and Amelia's second books so they can come out around the same time. Since they will be in tandem (don't worry, the plan is to have as few scenes from two different POV's as possible because I too hate that shit).
